- Why Strayer
The U.S. Government offers grant and loan programs designed to help
pay undergraduate and graduate
tuitions and fees. Programs may be
used to help pay for textbooks, fees, and living expenses. While there
are several programs (our financial aid advisors can help you find
ones for which you may be eligible) most financial aid is either a
grant or a loan. In short, grants are given to you outright while
loans must be repaid. As you can see, they are very different, so read
on carefully. And, of course, our financial aid advisors are always
available to help.
The U.S. Government offers a number of grant and loan programs to help eligible students finance their college and graduate school educations. They can help you pay for your education expenses.
Students may also apply for private educational loans, which are credit-based funds provided by outside, nonfederal lenders to pay for the difference between the cost of attendance and amounts receive through other programs.
Strayer University expects the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behavior from all officers, employees, and agents whose responsibilities include student financial aid matters.

Student loans can be a helpful tool to help you reach your educational goals. However, as a student, you must borrow responsibly – the money you receive now to pay for school must be paid back later.
